Hello there!

My name is Samantha Hazelwood (formerly Franklin—working on new branding…!) and I live in Tryon, North Carolina.

I have a photography degree from Oklahoma State University and have been a professional photographer for over fifteen years. In 2008, I completed an internship with Brion Topolski Photography in Los Angeles, California. He taught me the value of a great bloody mary, perseverance, and crisp, clean editing. 

I primarily shoot portraits, events, some commercial work, and fine art, but am wide open to anything. My passion is to provide warm and inviting photographs that tell a story and utilize the natural beauty of Western North Carolina. Particularly, since I am a mom, I love working with families to provide memories you can cherish with Mom front and center IN the pictures (not just taking them!), with flattering angles and posing.
